Tropical-inspired installations celebrating the natural beauty of Mauritius. Custom artwork and surface designs throughout public areas and suites.

The Brief

Paradis Beachcomber, set against the dramatic backdrop of Le Morne mountain, sought to infuse its interiors with a sense of place. The hotel wanted artwork and surface installations that would transport guests deeper into the Mauritian landscape - celebrating the island's lush vegetation, ocean life, and cultural heritage.

The existing interiors, while elegant, lacked the distinctive character that connects a luxury resort to its environment. The brief was to create bespoke pieces that felt both contemporary and rooted in the island's natural beauty.

Our Approach

We drew inspiration from the tropical flora and marine ecosystems surrounding the resort. Each design was developed through careful observation of the local environment - the coral reefs, palm groves, and volcanic rock formations that define Le Morne's coastline.

Our approach combined hand-painted tropical motifs with digitally refined surface patterns, creating a collection that could be applied across wallpapers, fabric panels, and framed installations throughout the hotel.

The Craft

Over the course of the project, our studio created:

  • Custom tropical wallpaper designs for guest suites and corridors
  • Hand-painted artwork panels for the lobby and reception areas
  • Bespoke fabric designs for soft furnishings throughout public spaces
  • Large-scale mural installations inspired by Mauritian flora
  • Decorative lighting elements with botanical motifs

Every piece was developed in close collaboration with the hotel's design team, ensuring that materials were suited to the tropical climate while maintaining the refined aesthetic the Beachcomber brand demands.
